New labels in my etsy shop!

I wish I could create new labels more often, but it seems hard to find the time! Often I end up creating new designs in batches, but then it takes me a while to do the photography & printing. Next up will be some vintage-inspired labels since I've had several requests... hopefully to come next month. Please vote in the poll on the right to let me know what type of label designs you'd like to see in my shop. Or you can comment here to let me know if you're looking for a specific type of label.

We like Swiss Chard

I'm happy to report that we like Swiss Chard, which is a good thing considering that I planted 2 rows of it in my garden without ever eating it before. It wasn't a huge leap of faith really because I assumed it would be similar enough to Spinach that we would like it. I planted Rhubarb Swiss Chard which is really pretty with the red stems. Next year I might try the Bright Lights variety with multicolored stems.

So far we've eaten it raw in salads, in soup with wild rice & turkey, & steamed. I searched for different recipes online & found plenty of similar ways to cook Swiss Chard. Last week I sauteed vidalia onions & garlic in bacon drippings, then added the stems before the leaves since they take a little longer to cook. Once it all cooked down, I topped it off with toasted pine nuts, lemon juice, & parmesan cheese. And this morning we had a swiss chard omelet with the glazed onions. Pretty tasty!

What labels do you want to see in my etsy shop?

I have a poll on my blog now (right side bar) to see what type of canning labels everyone would like to see added to my etsy shop. I have a lot of ideas for new labels, but I'm not sure how useful some of them might be. How many people actually can Sauerkraut? Would anyone use an asparagus or pumpkin butter label? If you have a moment, please take the poll :) If you don't see something listed , please comment below & let me know if you're looking for a specific fruit or vegetable label.
Thanks!

New labels in my etsy shop!

Well, I finally finished my "return jar" labels, & they're now up in my etsy shop! I'm not sure why it took me so long to get these finished...I started them last year. I realized I needed to do something to get my sister's attention in order for her to return my jars to me. So I made a label that said "I want my jar back dangit!" AND it worked! She's given me most of my empties back from last year's apple bounty :) She doesn't can, so I'm not sure why she was hoarding my jars.

I have 2 other quotes for the labels too. They're a little more polite than "I want my jar back dangit!" A common complaint from most canners is how many jars they lose each year to folks who don't return them. So hopefully these labels will make returns a little easier :)

Also new to the shop is a cute raspberry jam label. I'll probably eventually make these for black raspberry too. I took a lot of photos next to the raspberry bushes in my backyard.

These labels are on a mixed sheet with 4 different colors
